Tarot: It's Finally Out!

I am ecstatic to announce Tommy Marie Pictures released our short horror film, ‘Tarot’. This has been a long journey that we couldn’t have been grateful for over the past year. Little did we know that the film we created in less than three days with only two people would be released to the masses. Sean Killion and I, started this project when we were doing tarot one night trying to find some meaning in this world. Suddenly the idea of not knowing what we were connecting to really started to intrigue us. Was it a good spirit or was it a bad Spirit? This made us spiral into a conversation about the darker side of the spiritual realm and how we are ignorant of what we are actually doing. Maybe we were connecting to an evil ghost. In that moment, whether it was the tarot cards, or just us letting our imagination run, we set off for the next three days to create ‘Tarot’, a short horror story about a skeptical young woman who unwittingly releases a malevolent demon from a cursed tarot deck, finding herself cornered by the terrifying force that haunts her bedroom. Throughout the process of creating the small production, we wanted to give ourselves challenges, not only to benefit our film technique, but also to see if it was possible for just two people to create a whole film from scratch with only a budget of $300. Cut to a year later, we completed our film and have been graciously accepted into film festivals, We are so lucky to have been chosen as a Finalist at Oregon Screams Horror Film Festival, Honorable Mention from LA Indie Horror, and Official Selections for HorrOrigins, Ravenswood Film Festival and Thrills, Chills, and Kills Film Festival.
